X-RAY REVIEW

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

How do we use cookies?

__hstc
The main cookie for tracking visitors. Period separated, it contains: the domain, utk, initial timestamp (first visit), last timestamp (last visit), current timestamp (this visit), and session number (increments for each subsequent session)
(Expires: 2 years)

__hssc
Cookie for keeping track of sessions. This is used to determine if we should increment the session number and timestamps in the __hstc cookie. Period separated, it contains: the domain, viewCount (increments each pageView in a session), session start timestamp.
(Expires: 30 min)

__hssrc
Whenever we change the session cookie, we also set this. We set it simply to the value "1", and use it to determine if the user has restarted their browser. If this cookie does not exist when we manage cookies, we assume it is a new session.
(Expires: None. Session cookie)

hsfirstvisit
A cookie that logs the first page visited.
Expiration: 10 years

hubspotutk
A cookie used for identity tracking.
Expiration: 10 years

How to delete cookies, and stop the website from setting them in future

The ‘Help’ section of your web browser (for example Internet Explorer or Google Chrome) will instruct you on how to delete and block cookies from this or any other website.

An alternative resource can be found here which provides detailed guides on how to do this on a wide range of popular browsers. This website will also provide more information on what cookies are, why they’re used and how to protect yourself against ‘rogue websites’.

Please note - by deleting or blocking cookies you may hinder your experience on our or other websites.
