AES' Legal Obligations

Like other financial entities AES is required by law to provide certain information about US clients to the US authorities, in accordance with FATCA. 

From 2017 onwards, along with the other financial entities, AES too must by law also pass on similar information but about all clients to HMRC as the relevant British authority, for HMRC potentially to share with other countries participating in the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) / Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) system. Such information consists largely of routine identifying information and basic financial information.
